A harmonious mix of singing talent, personality, and spirit, the always popular Wolffgang vocal music group will appear in concert on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., at the Portage Public Library Learning Garden, in Portage, Indiana! This terrific concert is part of the 2025 Portage Summer Music Series of FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC concerts continuing through July and August! This year’s excellent concert lineup offers a variety of great music by seasoned bands and solo artists. Concert venues include Portage’s Woodland Park in Oakwood Hall and a great new location, the Portage Public Library Learning Garden (2665 Irving Street), where Wolffgang will be performing! Parking is available at both the Portage Library Learning Garden parking lot and the North lot, as well as on the west side of Lois Street, one block east. In the event of rain or other inclement weather, the concert will be cancelled.
Wolffgang, a select and auditioned girls vocal music group from Hobart High School, is directed by Dean Wolff, teacher, music instructor, and choir director. Currently in its 31st year, Wolffgang performs between 60 to 70 times per year at community, business, charity, and athletic events, as well as school concerts. The group’s repertoire focuses on popular music from the 1930’s through 60’s and also includes more limited amounts of patriotic, country, and serious sacred and secular selections. Wolffgang has performed throughout Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland, and occasionally Indianapolis and western Michigan. In recent years, the troupe has performed with the Northwest Indiana Symphony. Past performances include Chicago’s Channel 7 (ABC) Morning News, Chicago White Sox and SouthShore Gary Railcats baseball games, and Wolffgang has made appearances on Northwest Indiana’s Regional TV outlet, Channel 56. Recently, this year’s Wolffgang received a perfect judges’ score at the ISSMA (Indiana State School Music Association) Solo & Ensemble contest in Indianapolis! Wolffgang’s the perfect, not-to-be-missed concert for whole- family entertainment!
