Experience the ultimate musical journey with Jerry Armstrong's “Blast to the Past” band! For over 20 years, this vibrant, high-energy band has been delighting audiences across the USA, --including Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana! Led by highly-talented lead singer and guitarist, Jerry Armstrong, (who also puts on shows as a popular tribute artist, known for his singing impressions of Elvis, Tom Jones, Sinatra, Neil Diamond, and others), Blast to the Past band covers a variety of classic hits from the 50s to the 70S, including Rock and Roll, Motown, Country, Disco, and more.  Armstrong sings the praises of these timeless tunes: “We LOVE performing the best music ever!”  Blast to the Past band also includes:  Ray Hale, drummer; Mark Wydra, guitar and vocals; Lori Wydra, vocals; and John Falstrom, bass.

All Portage 2026 Summer Music Series concerts are collection sites for donations to Gabriel’s Horn Homeless Shelter. Canned goods, non-perishable boxed food items, paper goods, toiletries, hygiene items, etc., are very much appreciated.  Cash donations are welcome as well!  

 

A great collaborative effort, the Portage 2026 Summer Concert Music Series is produced in partnership with the following: Portage LIVE!, a (501) (c)(3) not-for-profit organization; Greater Portage Chamber of Commerce; grants from John W. Anderson Foundation and Porter County Community Foundation; Woodland Park facility provided by City of Portage Parks and Recreation, and from donations by local residents and Portage Chamber business members!
