If you’re a Country music fan, you won’t want to miss singer/guitarist Jack Evans, performing his Country Show on Sunday, August 17, 2025, 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm, at the Portage Library Learning Garden, in Portage, Indiana! This terrific concert is part of the 2025 Portage Summer Music Series FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC concerts continuing through August and featuring a variety of great music performed by seasoned bands and solo artists. Concert venues include Portage’s Woodland Park (indoors in Oakwood Hall) and a beautiful new outdoor concert location, the Portage Public Library Learning Garden (2665 Irving Street), where the Jack Evans concert will be held. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. Parking is available at both the Library Learning Garden and North lots, as well as on the west side of Lois Street, one block east. (In the event of rain or other inclement weather, the concert will be cancelled).
“Just Great! Fabulous! A Real Crowd Pleaser!” are just a few of the terrific reviews that singer/guitarist Jack Evans has received for his many 5- star- rated performances! Playing rock and roll when he was younger, Jack then went on to become a very successful solo jazz singer and performed in many of the famous resorts and clubs up and down the east coast-- but in the early 80’s he fell in love with country music and has been primarily performing country songs from the 80’s and 90’s since then. If you are a fan of George Strait, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Randy Travis, Johnny Cash or any of the other greats of that time, you will enjoy Jack’s country performance! As one reviewer noted, “Jack Evans has the perfect voice for country music!” What’s more, as is the case with all of Jack’s concerts, feel free to sing along and dance—and HAVE A GREAT TIME
