Plastic Reduction Alliance of NWI Collaborates with Alley Kat’s Curiosity Shoppe to host the first Holiday Swap, Thrift, and Gift Event
Valparaiso, IN- The Plastic Reduction Alliance of NWI (PRA) and Alley Kat’s Curiosity Shoppe are partnering for this FREE event to swap your holiday trinkets for something new to you! Join us to promote sustainability and reduce single-use plastics this holiday season on Thursday, December 5th, 2024 at Alley Kat’s Curiosity Shoppe (1515 Roosevelt Rd, Valparaiso, IN 46383) from 6-8pm.
Attendees are asked to bring gently used ornaments, tabletop décor (no larger than a microwave), and unfinished or unused rolls of wrapping paper, gift bags, and wrapping accessories such as bows and gift tags to SWAP with others at the event.
Attendees receive one green ticket for every wrapping essential item brought in and one red ticket for every ornament or tabletop décor item brought in. Green tickets can only be swapped for wrapping essentials, and red tickets can only be swapped for ornaments and tabletop décor.
Leftover wrapping will go to to Hilltop Pantry, while leftover ornaments and tabletop décor go into Alley Kat’s December Donation Charity Collection.
