Improv Sketch is an engaging program designed, by Memorial Opera House’s LimeLights Youth Theatre, for young performers who aspire to write & perform their very own SNL-style sketches and master the art of improvisational comedy. This class will culminate in a performance on March 5th at Memorial Opera House.

Whether your child dreams of becoming the next comedy sensation or simply wants to enhance their communication skills, this class provides a platform for personal growth and artistic expression.

What to Expect:
1. Sketch Comedy Writing: Students will delve into the fundamentals of sketch comedy writing. They will explore the principles of humor, comedic timing, and the structure of a sketch, and will have the opportunity to develop their unique comedic voice.

2. Character Development: Lessons on how to create memorable characters that bring sketches to life. From exaggerated personalities to relatable figures, students will explore various character archetypes and develop the skills to portray them effectively.

3. Improvisational Comedy: Unleash the power of spontaneity and quick thinking with a range of improv games and exercises.

Ages: 10-18

Class Tuition: $75

No prior experience or auditions required.
