Michigan City, IN – 9/17/2025 – CLH, CPAs & Consultants is excited to welcome brothers Matthew Flanigan and Colin Flanigan as staff accountants, following the successful completion of internships with the firm. The addition of Matthew and Colin highlights the success of CLH’s internship program, which invests in developing the talent pipeline and supports the firm’s continued growth.
Both Matthew and Colin graduated from Purdue University, where they earned dual degrees in accounting and finance. The twin brothers were dedicated to careers in the industry from an early age, graduating from high school with credits for associate’s degrees in business administration from Ivy Tech Community College.
Between college graduation and coming aboard the firm’s team full-time, Matthew and Colin completed an 8-month internship with CLH from January through August in 2024. During the internship, the Flanigans received a broad range of training across key areas of the firm’s operations. The two learned the firm’s advanced software systems, were coached in bookkeeping and other accounting services, and accompanied senior firm members on client visits, providing them with early exposure to building strong client relationships. Their internships laid the groundwork for a seamless transition to the firm full-time in 2025.
Colin Flanigan remarked, “The extended internship provided a solid foundation, allowing me to seamlessly transition into a full-time staff role. Having a hands-on tax season prepared me to contribute to the team while also building a robust support network across multiple offices.” Matthew Flanigan agreed and added, “The firm's supportive culture, open-door policy, and dedication to employee growth made learning and communication easy. The positive experience made my decision to join CLH as a staff accountant an easy one.” Matthew and Colin are also involved in the firm’s outreach efforts, representing the firm at career fairs and coaching middle-school students about a future in accounting.
