The Portage Township Autism Awareness Coalition, led by Portage Township Trustee Brendan Clancy, has been working to spread awareness about autism since 2020. We have created an emergency identification bracelet program; secured funding for the YMCA to offer water safety classes; created a window cling program; provided training to first responders and others; distributed more than 200 sensory kits; provided activities free for families with children on the spectrum including a touch-a-truck event and Lights Up, Sounds Down Roller Skating Party and facilitated an Autism Parent Support Group.

Help us in supporting those and their families on the spectrum by purchasing a specially designed T-shirt recognizing April as Autism Awareness/Acceptance Month and our partners in the Portage Township Autism Awareness Coalition.

The cost of the T-shirts are $15 each and available in sizes medium to 2XL.
T-shirts may be purchased at the Portage Township Trustee’s office, 3590 Willowcreek Road, Suite B, Portage. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday.

All proceeds from the sale of the T-shirts will be used to support PTAAC projects.
