Women Who Weld is holding an ‘Intro to MIG Welding' workshop for women on Friday, July 20, 2018 from 9am-1pm at Fronius USA Headquarters in Portage, IN. Women Who Weld is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that teaches women how to weld and find employment in the welding industry. Samantha Farr, Women Who Weld's Founder and Instructor, will lead the workshop. We can accept a maximum of 12 women, but we will have a wait list and will notify those on the wait list if an opening becomes available. Minimum age is 18. The cost to participate in the workshop is $100 per person. Proceeds from this workshop will go toward Women Who Weld's subsidized, 6-week intensive welding training program for unemployed and underemployed women in Detroit, MI.
