Meadowbrook Silent Hike

Hiking with a group can be wonderful, but sometimes we also want… quiet. To observe and enjoy our surroundings, to get lost in our own heads, and to just soak in nature. As we get the new year started, this hike will offer space for quiet and contemplation as we walk the trails of Meadowbrook Nature Preserve. There will be a short presentation on the geology and history of Meadowbrook at the beginning of the hike, and a mid-way stop to offer an opportunity to ask questions, discuss anything interesting that participants have seen, and get some more info about the flora and fauna of the preserve from Volunteer Naturalist Melissa Washburn. We will meet at the Meadowbrook Pavilion. The trail at Meadowbrook varies from gravel paths to moderate trails with stairs and bare roots. Please note that our outdoor restroom facilities will be closed for the season.
