Discovery Charter School Accepting Kindergarten Lottery Applications

Kindergarten Lottery Application Window now open
Discovery Charter School is accepting applications for kindergarten 2021-2022. Applications received through March 10^th, 2021 will be included in the Kindergarten Lottery which will take place on March 17^th, 2021.

Discovery Charter School, located near the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore in Porter, IN, is a tuition-free public charter school that takes education beyond the classroom. Our approach to learning is rooted in place-based education, which brings students, their families, and community together to create a learning ecosystem that inspires and supports students to reach their fullest potential. Our K-8 curriculum focuses on building the skills needed to achieve academic excellence, while also serving to help students develop as individuals, stewards, and members of the community. Our goal is to help students better understand who they are, their place in the community, and how they can work together to make the world better.
A child must be five years old on or before August 1^st, 2021 to be eligible for kindergarten, and must be a legal resident of the state of Indiana.
