United Way Northwest Indiana Welcomes Shalana Thompson as Vice President of Finance

Valparaiso, IN – November 7, 2025 – United Way Northwest Indiana is proud to announce that Shalana Thompson has joined the organization as Vice President of Finance, effective Wednesday, November 5, 2025.

Thompson brings extensive experience in financial leadership, strategic planning, and operational management. In her new role, she will oversee all aspects of financial strategy, planning, reporting, and compliance to ensure that United Way Northwest Indiana continues to operate with fiscal responsibility and transparency.

Throughout her career, Thompson has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing organizational excellence and empowering teams through collaboration and data-driven decision-making. She is known for her ability to translate complex financial information into actionable strategy and for aligning resources with mission priorities.

At United Way Northwest Indiana, Thompson will partner closely with senior leadership, the Board of Directors, and community stakeholders to manage budgets, ensure compliance, and support the organization’s continued growth and community investment.
