POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in afterschool program.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Maintain and scan all reports.

  2. Keep accurate records of attendance

  3. Assure there are adequate materials, snacks, and supplies at site

  4. Supervise all site staff and children

  5. Facilitate planned curriculum and follow program schedule

  6. Communicate daily with Recreation and Enrichment Coordinator 

  7. Assume total responsibility of site & program in absence of the Recreation and Enrichment Coordinator 

  8. Pleasantly interact with parents, PTS trans staff, and children

  9. Maintain site First Aid Kit

  10. Any other duties or tasks as requested by SACC Coordinator

  11. Maintain child to staff ratio mandated by the state

  12. Scheduled hours 6a to 745a and 215p to 630p

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. At least 18 years of age 

  2. Previous professional experience as child caregiver required

  3. Previous professional supervisory experience required

  4. High school diploma or higher

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. iLead Training (Child Abuse, Health & Safety Orientations: Modules 1-4)

  2. West Bend Mutual Insurance Company Trainings including Bloodborne Pathogens

  3. Praesidium Trainings

  4. CPR / AED / 1st AID Annually

  5. TB Test Annually

  6. Adult Health Physical Exam (not more than 3 months before date of hire)

  7. Drug Screen

  8. Federal Fingerprint and OESCL Background Check

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to instruct and observe participants in all programs.

  • Ability to lift equipment, and to lift a child if necessary.

  • Ability to plan, instruct and participate in activities with participants.
