We are seeking an energetic, dynamic, and self-motivated Administrative Assistant to join our PCACS team. If you are passionate, have attention to detail, are organized and eager, this is for you!
The successful candidate will be supporting various departments within our Agency but will be mainly assisting our Executive Director & Deputy Director. Many tasks will involve data entry into various internal platforms, managing confidential records, formatting, and submitting reports, overseeing all safety policies & procedures, assisting with the medical loan closet, energy assistant program, coordinating volunteers answering the phones, greeting all our guests, as well as other administrative duties.

Job Performance Requirements:

  • Excellent computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office programs
  • Attention to detail with the ability to format documentation, check grammar and spelling, review data for deficiencies or errors, and correct any inconsistencies,
  • Strong verbal, professional and written communication skills, in person, electronically and over the phone are essential in this role,
  • Maintain and protect Agency-wide confidential information regarding documents, reports, person served, HR information etc.
  • Solid organization skills with the ability to multi-task, problem-solve and be detail- oriented. To be able to sort tasks according to priority and time sensitivities.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment,
  • Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently and is able to work effectively as part of a large team.

Qualifications Required: 

  • Experience using office equipment such as multi-line phones, photocopier, and fax machine with the desire to learn new software/applications.
  • High School Diploma/ GED.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Administrative courses and training are an asset.
  • Office and administration experience is an asset.
  • Cleared Criminal Record Check (updated every five years by agency).
  • Must be legally entitled to work in the United States.

Office Hours/Schedule: 

  • Monday – Friday, closed weekends
  • 8 am – 5 pm
  • Lunch break from 12 – 1 pm
  • Closed for observed holidays.

Introductory Period:

An introductory period of 90 days must be served. Prior to the end of the introductory period, the employee will be evaluated, and a determination made as to regular employment. This period is a time of orientation and mutual evaluation of skill/job match.

$16-$18 per hour depending on experience
