DESCRIPTION:Please join us for Rise\, Shine and Share Portage. This event offers Greater Portage Chamber of Commerce members the opportunity to share their ideas\, business strategies and successes\, and to exchange business referrals. The goal of the program is to increase business for our members.  \n\n\n\nThe September Rise\, Shine and Share topic will be: Sexual Harassment in the Workplace (from an HR general practitioner point of view) and will be presented by John Gornto\, Senior Vice President Human Resources and Risk Management of Monosol\, a Kuraray Division. \n\n\n\nAbout John:\n\nJohn Gornto is the Senior Vice President   Human Resources and Risk Management at MonoSol.  John has over 25 years of experience in Human Resources.  He joined MonoSol in 2013 after gaining experience in manufacturing\, financial services\, and the clinical laboratory industries.  He has worked for large companies such as Procter & Gamble\, Capital One\, and LabCorp.  John earned his Bachelor's Degree in Finance from the University of Florida\, and his MBA in Human Resources from Indiana University.\n\n \n\nJohn is married with three children.  His home is in Burlington\, North Carolina\, and he commutes to work at MonoSol in Northwest Indiana.  John's wife\, Meredith\, is a Music Instructor and very involved in their Church and community in Burlington.  Their oldest son\, Mitchell\, is a Senior at the University of Michigan where he competes on the men's gymnastics team.  Their daughter Lauren is a Sophomore at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she is a member of the Tar Heel Voices acapella group.  Their youngest\, Jessica\, is a Senior in high school\; she enjoys dance and is busy completing her college applications.
