DESCRIPTION:Please join us for Rise\, Shine and Share Portage. This event offers Greater Portage Chamber of Commerce members the opportunity to share their ideas\, business strategies and successes\, and to exchange business referrals. The goal of the program is to increase business for our members.  \n\n\n\nGuest speaker will be a representative from Wessler Engineering. Wessler Engineering is working with the City to prepare the study.  Mary Atkins\, Vice President with Wessler will provide an overview for those attending.\n\n\n\nCome to Rise\, Shine and Share Portage to learn about what the City of Portage is doing to manage stormwater.  The City of Portage through its Utility Service Board and Stormwater Division is currently studying options to update the billing of stormwater utility user fees. The study involves the  measurement of impervious surface areas\, which correlates to the amount of water that flows from a property when it rains.  The study also includes a review of the costs associated with stormwater management. Stormwater management activities include the maintenance of ditches and pipes\, pollution prevention programs and drainage improvement projects.
